My Uncle and Aunty in Hilo (both Japanese) had three children, cousins Melvin, Margo and Marcia (notice the M's) and they adopted a little haole boy named Michael.  Well, too make a long story short....Melvin, Margo and Marcia all married haole's and guess what??? Michael married a Hawaiian Hilo girl, a former Miss Hilo. Cute yeah!!!! ~ Ichiro Komita

I'm from Oahu. My haole husband and I moved from the Big Island of Hawaii to the east bay area of California.  We got married in 1994 at Waialae Baptist Church. God blessed us last year with our hapa baby Thaddeus who is 9 months now. To our haole hubbys, ~Leah Goslen

My husband and I have been married for almost 6 years. I was adopted from S. Korea (though I hear I look Japanese) and raised in Georgia. I met my husband when we were
both in the United States Navy. We moved here 1 year ago and this is our first time to Hawaii. I absolutely love the diversity here! Even though we'll only be here for 3 years, it will be a memory to last a lifetime. ~ Kendra Putthoff
